Iran 'crisis' - WTF????

Am I the only one staggered by the scale of the coverage, especially by the US MSM, afforded to the 'crisis' in Iran, where an election seems to have been stolen? You know, like what GW Bush did in 2000, and possibly, with the help of the Diebold Corporation, did in 2004 as well?

I've been in Holland for the last week and from the major US networks it's almost wall-to-wall, 24 hour coverage. Same with the NYT and a few more. Now as my American friends will testify, as will anyone at all who visits the US, foreign news isn't exactly a major seller for the average Joe in the street. A change of government in a major European country will get a line or two, sandwiched between Britney's latest boob job and the breed of the President's new dog.

And it's not as if they have an unending stream of dramatic updates from Iran. Wolf Blitzer admitted that 'we have no film footage and very little factual reporting'. They're even appealing to Iranian Facebook and Twitter users to get them something to report. Yet the saturation coverage continues. Yesterday the textline at the bottom of the screen came up with 'up to 100 killed in Iraqi horror blast'. And that was about it.

Meanwhile we can expect breathless coverage of "News flash: Iranian policeman gets black eye".

What the hell is going on here?

Well, I'm left with only one conclusion that makes sense. The Israeli Lobby is orchestrating it. Iran is Israel's big enemy de jour, and I've noticed a lot of the neocons crawling out from under their stones and demanding that Obama take 'firm action' with Iran. As is Benjamin Netenyahu.

As all of you will know, I'm very far from being a "Jewish conspiracy" freak. Basically I've never believed in it. But I tell you this my friends. If the Lobby can manipulate the US media to this extent - virtually turn it on its head - well, I find that truly, truly scary.

Congrats Savant - the penny has finally dropped for you! When will you fully realize that we're all just pawns being manipulated by these people?

Anonymous said...

Dont forget - the US arranged for the first democratically elected government in Iran (1953) to be overthrown.

Anonymous said...

What do they want, an invasion?

Anonymous said...

Here in japan not a peep. I wonder why.

Anonymous said...

OK, Savant: if the protests are not such a big deal, why has Iran kicked foreign media - including Arabs - out of the country? And jammed networking sites like Facebook? Do you think all these outraged Iranians are pawns? Did you see the video of that poor girl Neda shot through the heart?

The Islamic Paradise is showing its true colors for all to see. It IS the biggest news story in the world right now. Neither America nor anyone else can/will intervene - and let's not forget that Mousavi is the guy who actually oversaw the birth of Iran's nuclear program - so hardly an American/Zionist/Capitalist tool!

O.K.... since you asked the question, "What the hell is going on here"?

"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it."

Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001

Ditto for 95% of the MSM (mainstream media).

Savants vision suddenly gets that little wider. Good job. Soon enough you'll understand why I'm such an irretrievable cynic.

(BTW, on a side note, it was the neo-cons/Israelis who wanted Adminejhad in power. It's better for business you see.)

Savant, are you mad ? WTF yesterday here in Africa a kettle of water boiled over, I'm sick of these Israeli's and their plots to deny us our morning cup of tea, these jews should be exterminated before they kill us with such a lack of tea, it is obviously part of a huge Zionist Plot...........................................That is how ridiculous your article read to me.You probably think that the "Jews" control Al Jazeera.

Anonymous said...

The fact that this comes as a surprise to you, is well, a surprise.

Iran is not the problem per se, the problem is Hezbollah which is sponsored by Iran. Israel got their butts kicked in the last confrontation and fear a nuclear weapon carried by Hezbollah rockets into the heart of Tel Aviv. Thats why the the Jews as a proxy of Israel look after their own interests which is to have a homeland in preparation for the eventual time that they get kicked out of yet another country/s.

Jewish people are incredibly influential well in excess of their numbers. They make up most or possibly all the key financial, media, entertainment positions and are like anyone else, colored by their cultural experience, biases and interests in propagation.

The Jews err however, in that they don't understand the innate motivations of non-Jews. They think they can "expunge" any undesirable impulses with control of the cultural zeitgeist. They've managed through Herculean efforts and promotions, to accomplish that aim. But with this economic crisis, people are taking a critical look at the leaders of society and are starting to notice, like yourself, that Jews have a prominent role and therefore responsibility for whatever outcome transpires.

So in short, Jews are VERY powerful and paranoid. They tend to overkill any perception of a threat and sooner or later, they're going to over reach and piss off the wrong people/s.

Anonymous said...

Oh no - now you've fallen into the Jewish Plot fantasy Savant. Sad really.

Anonymous said...

Well, it took you long enough to spot this conspiracy. Any chance you'll open your peepholes and see the other ones as well?

SAVANT said...

OK folks, a lot of comment here. Most are either celebrating or bemoaning the 'fact' that I've bought into the Jewish Conspiracy theory.

In fact, if you read the post again you'll see that I don't subscribe to any such theory in general. However, it's self evident that, in line with all other groups, on occasions some Jews will promote sectional interests.

Re the subject at hand, I merely propose that no other explanation for the outlandish coverage seems obvious to me. I then say that if any lobby can exert that sort of control, it's scary. And IT IS.

Not least in that the US, and hence the rest of us, could be dragged into some major conflict just because it seems to further the aims of some religious maniacs in a settlement.

I haven't followed this crisis and don't really care much about it - unless it causes the fall of the Islamic Republic, which I doubt. However, if the Iranian nuclear programme were destroyed by a military strike, I would be happy about it, no matter who instigated the strike. Yes, I know it would be immoral, but it would quite likely be the lesser evil. It's not like nukes can't go off anywhere but in Israel.

youre right about this Savant............Ahmadinejad is "for" poorer, rural, old-fashioned Iranians, and is pretty popular there. Its a shame he is a nut-job, but thats the nut-job they want in that country.

The CIA is very much behind this. The Rockefeller Brothers fund privately funded a real poll a few months back and found that Ahmadinejad was about twice as popular as his challenger. The victory margin was even less than their poll would have suggested.

We are straining for a reason to "liberate" Iran. It will take more time..........maybe another 20 years, to secularize Iran to the point that its really divided as we'd like to portray it as now.

It hurts to be a US citizen now and know that the country I used to be so proud of is pulling stuff like this these days.

From the bbc

US President Barack Obama has strongly condemned the "unjust actions" of Iran in clamping down on election protests.Mr Obama said: "The United States and the international community have been appalled and outraged by the threats, beatings, and imprisonments of the last few days.

Also from the BBC

Dozens dead' in US drone strike

At least 45 people have died in a missile strike by a US drone aircraft in Pakistan, officials there have said. The people killed in South Waziristan region had been attending a funeral for others killed in a US drone strike earlier on Tuesday.Intelligence officials said at least 45 people had been killed and dozens more injured in the later strike, when two missiles were fired. But a local official told BBC News the death toll was more than 50.

Attacking people attending a funeral with hellfire missiles !

The little black pot president calls the kettle black me thinks
I wonder what MARTIN LUTHER KING would make of him ?

Wolf Blitzer, prior to becoming the face of CNN, worked for AIPAC. He also penned a favorable book about Jonathan Pollard.

Of course the Israelis and the real US government are organizing all of this. We're just puppets on a string. Hardly worth posting on this it is, or should be, so obvious.

Iraq and Afghanistan are going down the tube, hundreds killed, and there's not a word in the MSM. Something funny going on for sure.

It only takes twelve million Jews to oppress one BILLION Muslims...Wow, those Jews must be super-intelligent and ruthless! Veritable Nietzschean Supermen!

Or else those Muslims are all a bunch of stupid slave-sheep. Yet they clearly see the conspiracy, so how can they - - ?

Also amazing how - despite all evidence to the contrary - folks the world over can credit the American government with such omnipotence and dastardly powers. Ha ha ha! You need to get out more.

I don't view this as any type of Jewish media control plot- in fact I see no evidence at all for that. I think the real reason for the excitement is that media folks are just plain naive about the mindsets of peoples around the world.

Modern liberals think the Iranians are protesting to build the same kind of societies and governments that Westerners have. From the looks of it Iranians are protesting to have religious nutbag A replaced by religious nutbag B. But to left-wing head up the ass types these protests are a projection of their own hopes for the Middle East. They are REALLY excited about these protests- they think this could be the dawn of a new era in the Middle East.

Anonymous said...

Tesla, it matter little whether you "believe" in fairies or the Jewish plot. The fact remains that 99% of media conglomerates are both own by Jewish monguls (Sumner redstone's MTV , Rupert Murdoch's SKY & Fox news etc) and ran by Jews. Hollywood and the mainstream world's news medias are especially the case in this.

No proof? Theres more proof of Jewish involvement in the media then there is of night following day.

You know this yourself, quit playing politics.(Don't tell me your a reincarnated "Israeliejit").

Anonymous said...

Ruper Murdoch is not Jewish. Any other facts you want me to check?

Anonymous said...

Its funny how when mentioning "media monguls" it became popular amongst Jews on tv to always refer to Ted Turner (before he sold most of them off) and Rupert Murdoch the only alleged gentile "media monguls". They no longer mention Murdoch anymore. The "Simpsons" tv show even had a light satire on Turner, because since he is the only alleged gentile mongul he is open game for criticism and attack. Matt Groening creator of the Simpsons is Jewish. Jews in the media/hollywood never criticise their own if there is a gentile they can use as a "scapegoat". Otherwise they stay silent. Just like Bush took the heat as a frontman for their empire now Obama is the next fall guy.

Murdoch’s father married Elisabeth Joy Greene, daughter of Rupert Greene in 1928. They had one son, Keith Rupert and three daughters. Later in life, Keith Rupert chose to use Rupert, the first name of his Jewish maternal grandfather.

“Rupert’s father Sir Keith Murdoch attained his prominent position in Australian society through a fortuitous marriage to the daughter of a wealthy Jewish family, née Elisabeth Joy Greene. Through his wife’s connections, Keith Murdoch was subsequently promoted from reporter to chairman of the British-owned newspaper where he worked. There was enough money to buy himself a knighthood of the British realm, two newspapers in Adelaide, South Australia, and a radio station in a faraway mining town,” Candour wrote in 1984. “For some reason, Murdoch has always tried to hide the fact that his pious mother brought him up as a Jew.”

While Murdoch may have “tried to hide” his Jewish roots, he has been quite forthright about his support for extreme right-wing Zionists, such as Benjamin Netanyahu and Ariel Sharon.

Murdoch’s support for Zionism extremists is well known and a matter of record. As New York Governor George Pataki said, “There is no newspaper in the U.S. more supportive of Israel than the [Murdoch’s] New York Post.”

All else said, Murdoch is an ardent zionist and hardcore supporter of Israel.

Oh and as a side note Lord Jacob Rothschild (of the notorius Jewish trillionaire banker family) is SKY tv's company's deputy chairman.

Not worried yet? Start now.

Anonymous said...

Wow! I never knew that about Murdoch. I thought he had no Jewish connections at all. He (And his minions) certainly kept that quiet.

As the writer says, time to start worrying. We're all just being jerked around like puppets on a string.

If Iran's elections are supposed to be so important to Jews that a "big conspiracy" has been organised, how come there's hardly any hullabaloo over the elections HERE IN ISRAEL.
I'm disappointed with you Savant - I thought you had more sense.

To Anon @ 22 June 2009 21:46

That ridiculous quote you claim to be Sharon's is a total hoax. Hamas originally reported it quoting Israeli Army Radio's political correspondence. The same correspondence denied that he had ever made such a report or that Sharon had said such a thing.

"Extreme right-wing Zionists" - What a joke!!!

SAVANT said...

Isrealieedjit - I'm not specifically saying it's a plot, what I am saying is that there seems to be little other explanation.

Iran is of little interest to Americans, it's of over-riding interest to Israel. Yet the major US neworks are providing massive ongoing coverage. I know a lot of Americans who've told me that they can't understand it either.

Have you an alternative explanation? A plausable one?

IsraeliEejit said...

Savant, the Arab Sunnis are far more frightened of Iran than the Israelis are. The rich Saudi Arabians have the most to lose. If there is any conspiracy, you should point a finger at the Arabs, not Jews.

Take Alwaleed bin Talal, the richest Saudi prince in the world whose MEDIA HOLDINGS include (in the West) a sizeable stake in Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, which owns Fox News, "fair and balanced" pride of any parent company. And Mr. Alwaleed takes pride — pride of ownership, anyway — in Fox as well. "During last month's street protests in France," he bragged to an audience at a Dubai media conference, according to Middle East Online, "Fox ran a banner saying: 'Muslim riots.' I picked up the phone and called Murdoch" — Rupert — "to tell him these are not Muslim riots, these are riots out of poverty. Within 30 minutes," the prince recalled, "the title was changed from 'Muslim riots' to 'civil riots.'"

I guess money — oops, I mean, peace and tolerance — talks. Why else, as noted by Accuracy in Media (AIM), would News Corporation's Harper Collins have published the prince's "authorized biography"? In the DVD documentary accompanying the book — a royal bonus — Rupert Murdoch makes a cameo appearance (presumably "authorized") to praise Mr. Alwaleed, dismissing Mr. Giuliani's rejection as so much "politics."

Mr. Murdoch might well have added that not everyone is too proud to take the prince's, well, princely sums. In 2002, Mr. Alwaleed contributed $27 million to a Saudi government telethon that raised more than $100 million for the families of Palestinian "martyrs." Like Harvard and Georgetown — like Andover ($500,000), like the Carter Center ($5 million) — no Hamas or Al Aqsa alums or legacies (survivors?) were about to give any bucks back.

And why should they? Harvard may have a record of Arab gifts gone wrong, including a $2.5 million donation the divinity school returned following revelations of the donor's anti-Semitic, anti-American leanings. "But," as the Boston Globe noted, "problems with the Alwaleed donation do not seem probable."

Here's one. Prince "Crimson bin Hoya" is now not only one of American academia's most generous benefactors ever, he's co-owner of ART TV network, the Saudi company that includes what Steven Stalinsky of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has described in the New York Sun as "the anti-American, anti-Semitic, pro-Jihad Arabic TV channel Iqra."

That's putting it mildly. Programming, Mr. Stalinsky writes, includes telethons — the notorious terrorist fundraiser (mentioned above) of 2002, and an August 2005 fundraiser for "Jihad in Palestine"; lectures that endorse suicide bombing and exhort Muslims to triumph over the West by the "slitting of throats and shattering skulls"; 9/11 conspiracy theories blaming the United States, Israel and the Vatican; children's shows that instruct parents to teach their children to pray for "martyrdom"; a soap opera with Jews casting spells on Muhammad; and talk shows on wife-beating. I'd say it's about time Rupert picked up the phone.

Savant, a few other thoughts:

1. The Bush family has extensive business connections with the Saudi royal family (oil). Read The Bush-Saudi Connection:

Old habits die hard and such a close relationship probably continues with Obama.

2. Now that the U.S. is almost on its knees financially, who do you think is bankrolling the U.S. and guaranteeing their loans? My guess is Saudia Arabia.

SAVANT said...

Israeliedjit, yes, some rich Saudis have some influence in the US media, and yes, the Saudis dont like the Iranians too much.

However, it's surely out of the question that they could prevail on all the networks, including CNN, to provide this sort of coverage.

No, it's not a sustainable position, but I certainly get an uneasy feeling when this guy can ring up 'Rupert' and get a headline changed.

IsraeliEejit said...

Savant, CNN has always been pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel. Take for example the CNN Arab bitch reporter Christianne Amnapour (or whatever her name is) - 100% biased reporting in favour of the Palestinians.
Jews certainly do not control CNN.
