Now riddle me this.......

Thanks to Elaine for this link. If you read it you’ll see that on an Italian TV show debate an MP, Daniela Santanche (isn't she hot?)claimed "Mohammed was a polygamist and a pedophile because he had nine wives, one of whom was only nine years old, that is a historical fact"

According to the report, “her remark incensed Muslims in the audience. Studio ushers were seen physically restraining an irate, bearded member of the audience from lunging at her.”

Needless to say, the presenter immediately and subsequently went into dhimmi mode. "I and my staff dissociate ourselves from these comments, which are offensive to Islam".

Now what’s the riddle here, you might ask? After all, this is how the Religion of Peace always reacts to this charge.

Let me first, to maintain intellectual rigour, quote the following definitions from Encarta:

Polygamist: having multiple spouses: the custom of having more than one spouse at the same time

Pedophile: adult with sexual desire for children: an adult who has sexual desire for children or who has committed the crime of sex with a child

Now Mo qualifies eminently on both counts. He had innumerable wives and married Aisha when she was six, and consummated the ‘marriage’ (i.e., raped the child) when she was nine.

How do we know this? Why, from the ‘sacred’ books themselves. From the very texts that Muslims are shoving down our throats at every opportunity.

So, the obvious riddle is, if someone uses direct evidence that Muslims themselves accept as true, why do Muslims go ballistic?

Now the facile answer is that it doesn’t take much to get them to go ballistic. But surely even they must see the utter illogicality of their position?

Or is that asking a bit much of them?

Like the crazy Mormons - who are riddled with a history and practice of polygamy and child brides - it's asking a bit much, Savant....! Nothing brings out rage more than hanging these types by their own petards.

But on the other hand, maybe I need to start a religion. Economic times are tight, the masses are fearful, and nothing brings out the cash and females like a good bit of fearmongering! Somehow, however, I don't think Ms. Santanche would be one of the congregants.

Okay, plan B.

There's actually a video of this on the web. I saw it. It's got sub-titles in English. The Muslim suit guy did nothing else but try to shout her down. Just kept shouting over her.

Yes, it's a beautiful dilemma, isn't it? They caught by the proverbails on this one, and I just love seeing them tie themselves up in knots!

I am sure that the Italian lady will never mention that Jewish law authorizes betrothels by intercourse if the girl is three years and one day old.

The two most honored women in Islam are Mary the mother of Jesus and Aisha. The two most common girls name in Arabia are Mary and Aisha. When the Jewish comedian pissed on the face of Jesus on the BBC recently it was Moslems, not Christians, who protested.
BTW, someone importance in the monarchy where I live likes your blog, your site was blocked for less than a day.

My own belief is that all this BS from the MSM will cause people to reflect even more. Despite appearances, people are beginning to see thru such bullshit and wonder if they're trying so hard to set us off in one direction they must be hiding something.

I think, in answere to your question, that they're driven mad by the realization that there are so many logical contradictions in their beliefs, especially when confronted with the advanced West.

yet, they're so brainwashed that they can't accept it - hence the furious reaction and I believe, much internal turmoil.

You're assuming that human beings are devoted to logic and have a need to work toward consistency in their beliefs. But this is not universal even in the West, where it is (was) explicitly held up as an ideal, and where even the rankest weasel or Christian fundie will usually make some pretense of molding his craziness and/or charlatanry into some logical, consistent, form. Usually. East of Suez all bets are off.

I gave up allowing myself to be driven batty by irrational people a long time ago. You can't reason with infantilized emotional retards who want to shut you up/ prosecute/ persecute you for simply stating "hate facts". That we treat these tantrums with anything but contempt is a sad sign of how emasculated and adrift from the Western tradition we've become.

Menses at the age of 9?

Maybe Aisha was black.

Anyway, our issue isn't pedophilia among Muslims. Or among Jews, for that matter. (Isaac Asimov's son got busted for child porn a couple of years back. Daddy being famous, you'd think it would've gotten more coverage...)

Our issue is white survival.

Rohan Sweeney - I agree so very much. I also have driven myself knotted with frustration trying to argue with people like that.

Like you, I gave up. Unfortunately, not that long ago!

What right do Westerners assume that their "value" system takes precedence over other peoples'?

Muslims have to be kept out of Western Europe; not have their belief system challenged. So on what grounds does she say that the Prophet(pbuh) was a pedophile?

The West does not and never had jurisdiction over 7th Century Arabia.

MCLS - it's nothoing to do with having precedence over anything. The quote from Envarta showed why he was a pedophile. He had sex with a 9 year old child. Dont know what point you're making in fact.

Why let in people who we are afraid of?

They prevent criticism through the constant threat of violence and it should not be tolerated.

@milliband - future historians will look back and ask that question in the way the now ask why the Romans let in the Goths.

You'll find that even the most 'moderate' muslim is very uncomfortable with this kind of conversation. The more educated and open-monded ones must suffer awful conflicts trying to reconcile these things.

Many of Muhammed's marriages were to seal political alliances with various Arabian tribes. Seventh century Europe--or 14th Century Europe for that matter--were not much better; Isabella of Valois was married to Richard II of England when she was six and he was 29.
