We've taken collective leave of our senses

An abiding memory for me from my career in soccer and rugby is the virulence and colour of the insults hurled at all and sundry, by all and sundry. Team 'mates', opponents, 'supporters' and opposing followers all gave vent to the worst insults they could think up. Facial features ('monkey'), size ('ya fucking dwarf'), religion ('Tague bastards'), region ('sheep shagging bastards') and just about anything else was deployed as deemed appropriate.

And nobody gave a damn. The insults for all intent and purposes went in one ear and out the other. The idea of one player taking official action on the basis of an insult would be so far from our world as to be quite literally incomprehnsible.

But that was then, this is now.

John Terry calls Anton Ferdinand a 'fucking black bastard' and all hell breaks loose. In the middle of Presidential elelctions here, the Euro going down the tube, turmoil in the Middle East, the incident dominates the headlines in Britain and Ireland. Think about it. One footballer insults another and it's headline news. And of course it's headline news for one reason only. The insult was racially based.

We have indeed taken collective leave of our senses. I'm not sure whether more of this insanity will lead towards a Great Awakening or whether it will just copper-fasten and normalise the insanity.

In a fit of morality the "English" sports press decided that Barcelona were a disgrace because a native Catalan speaker had called a native Portuguese speaker a monkey because they had footage where you could not lip read clearly but they damn well knew what was being said because they are agents of truth, justice and the English way.

This was not gamemanship aimed at unsettling Barcelona so that a decent family man like Ryan Giggs could take advantage of an unsettled side to win the Champions' League.

Isn't the allegation against Terry that he denies that he called Ferdinand a "black bastard" and that it was Ferdinand that introduced the term so Terry was only quoting him?

For example

Turn your radios up
You are now allowed to listen to the radio
The real niggers are back, on the radio

[Verse 1: NaS]

No slacking
no begging, no asking
no fasting
No disrespect to Islam
or Imam
or pastor
No answers
to questions the media is asking

Why we fight each other in public
in front of these arrogant fascists?
They love it
Putting old niggers versus the youngest
Most of our elders failed us
How can they judge us
niggers?
There's verbal books published by niggers
Produced by niggers
genuine niggers
so I salute my
niggers
Not mad cuz Eminem said nigger
cuz he's my nigger
wigger
cracker friend

So I am not mad cuz Enimem said nigger cuz he's my nigger wigger cracker friend.

I am quoting some overrated asshole just as Terry was quoting Ferdinand.

That is Anton Ferdinand as distinct from well known Mensa member Rio Ferdinand who missed a dope test because he is a dope.

The fact that all hell breaks loose and all the liberal idiots goes overboard, just strengthens my belief of the actual difference between races. They allways overcompensate for anything racial, hence the deep felt ,"guilt" maybe?
Maybe they havent come out the closet yet, and will be as loud as possible to shout down all racial comments so as to drown out the voices in their own heads.
If all were equal and we all were the same, why do we have these discussions, for or against? Why not have fights about, the sky being blue or water being wet? We are different , no matter how much you WANT us all to be the same.

Yet on Ferdinand's Myspace page a white fan called Dean Kelly says the following:

"Dean Kelly
Alright anton. How it going ya black cat ? Why da fuk ya move lol. Nah its all good I know anthony stokes pretty well mate. Good bloke"

Will Ferdinand be responding to the allegation that he is black and a cat? Well, he is black, so I guess he will sue for being called a cat.

Now, is complaining about being called black or a bastard? Because he certainly is black.

You know I can't quite make those out. The cameraman should get a little closer.

I propose the physiognomical metrics cranial circumference / mouth width and cranial circumference / nostril width.

Walter Williams passes this test.

Angelina Jolie on the other hand fails this test. Anyone else notice how whites with somewhat negroid features -- mouth and eye orbitals -- are being promoted? Jolie's looks are/were nothing -- NOTHING, I say -- compared to, for example, Kristy Swanson circa 1992.

What really tickles me is seeing Obama's big-assed Ho' (BAHOTUS?) referred to -- usually reverentially -- as the FLOTUS, mainly because whenever I see it I read FLATUS ... the root of flatulent.

Go on ... tell me this guy's got it wrong.

http://rt.com/news/europe-usa-libya-gaddafi-425/

‘High-class terrorists running US, UK and France’

As some European leaders demonstrate a celebratory mood over the violent death of Colonel Gaddafi, they are no less terrorists themselves, claims international consultant and author Adrian Salbuchi.

Salbuchi said Gaddafi’s death was undoubtedly a message for the whole world, as it is not just about Libya.

“We are seeing how Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State expressed it very clearly: ‘We came, we saw, he died,’ and then started laughing. This is a message to the world of how this new world order model actually works,” he stated. “When they decide to change the regime, they do so with the utmost violence, and it is a whole model. First they target a country by calling it a rogue state; then they support local terrorists and call them freedom fighters; then they bring death and destruction upon civilians and they call it UN sanctions. Then they spread lies and call it the International Community’s opinion expressed by the Western media. Then they invade and control the country and call it liberation and finally they steal appetizing oil and call it foreign investment and reconstruction,” Salbuchi explained.

At the moment Western powers are hailing a democratic future for Libya. When Saddam Hussein was captured in 2003 the US also thought it was all over – but it had only just begun. And according to Salbuchi, it is going to be the same, or even worse, for Libya.

“I think one of the reasons why Gaddafi’s country has been invaded and he has been killed is because he had plans to introduce the gold dinar as a golden currency that could very easily have become a major currency at least in North Africa and in the oil market,” he said. “Don’t forget Libya has the ninth-largest oil reserve in the world and the main oil reserve in all of Africa, so I think this definitely smells of oil and greed on the part of Western companies. They are just using this to justify they have supported the worst terrorists probably because in the White House and Palais de l'Élysée in France, and at 10 Downing Street, we also have very high-class terrorists and mafias running those countries and the better part of the world,” he pointed out.

He added the US, France, Britain and NATO should be held accountable for the sectarian violence, should it take place in Libya.

Hopefully Salbuchi meets with no "accidents" before his book is published. I find his definition (in the first paragraph) pretty elegant.

Cheers,
UN.

Found a few ...

http://tiny.cc/6mf8a

http://tiny.cc/dggh6

Interestingly enough, Eisenhower always cultivated an appearance of stolidity ... almost to the point of slow-wittedness. A complete sham. He was regarded by contemporaries as almost Machiavellian in his deviousness.

Eisenhower was also possessed by a hatred of Germans that bordered on the pathological ... which is probably why he conspired to murder almost three million German citizens and POW's AFTER the war.

His Wikipedia entry rather coyly states that:-

... in dealing with the devastation of postwar Germany he dealt with severe food shortages and a huge influx of refugees by distributing American food and medical supplies. His actions reflected the shifting American attitudes from seeing the German people as villains to seeing them as victims of the Nazis, while aggressively purging ex-Nazis.

How sweet. Unfortunately Ike's humanitarianism -- in reality -- slipped rather badly.

Check this out ...

http://tiny.cc/5drkg

A quote:- Eisenhower, in his personal letters, did not merely hate the Nazi Regime, and the few who imposed its will down from the top, but that HE HATED THE GERMAN PEOPLE AS A RACE. It was his personal intent to destroy as many of them as he could, and one way was to wipe out as many prisoners of war as possible.

Of course, that was illegal under International law, so he issued an order on March 10, 1945 and verified by his initials on a cable of that date, that German Prisoners of War be predesignated as “Disarmed Enemy Forces” called in these reports as DEF.

He ordered that these Germans did not fall under the Geneva Rules, and were NOT TO BE FED, NOR GIVEN ANY WATER or medical attention. The Swiss Red Cross was NOT to inspect the camps, for under the DEF classification, they had no such authority or jurisdiction.

Months after the war was officially over, Eisenhower’s special German DEF camps were still in operation forcing the men into confinement, but denying that they were prisoners.

It is estimated that unnatural deaths of Germans (civilians, POW's whatever) 1945-1948 could even have exceeded three million.

Can you see Steven Spielberg -- that champion of the oppressed -- falling over himself to make "Eisenhower's List"?

No chance. He prefers the Keystone Kop Koncentration Kamp Komedies.

Same crap happens, or does not in X Factor. Rio Ferdinand has nothing to say

X Factor contestant Kitty Brucknell has vehemently denied racially abusing The Risk singer Derry Mensah during an argument over a sofa.

The alleged incident took place when Mensah, 20, asked Brucknell, 26, to move from a sofa in a rehearsal room.

After the former Britney Spears impersonator lost her temper, he believed she shouted: 'You evil black b**tard, f**k you Derry.'

In referrence to the last line of this article, this man certainly DOES NOT understand the cultural differences. Being from Uruguay myself, my loving mixed-race parents refer to me as "negro" or "negrito"... and I'm not even black.
I call my wife "Negra" my daughters "Negrita"... my pals are commonly referred to as "Negro" and "Negrito" and so-on and so-forth. EVEN in a heated discussion I will use the term "Tranquilo negro" ("calm down lad") or "Todo bien negro" ("sure mate") and the person could be Chinese for that matter, it is synonymous to "mate", "dude" and does not reference in any way, shape or form the colour of the person's skin or racial physical features.
The simple fact that the term was used in SPANISH by a latin american person and "not" in English points straight to that CULTURAL difference that the F.A. overlook and therefore p*ss all over the CULTURE thing. If he used it in English (which he is shocklingly bad at), fair enough, some point of controversy could be understood, but that was not the case and it is an ugly witch hunt.
Had this guy been an Argentine or Mexican I would have been equally as vocal about such a thing. I could not give a hoot about LFC, but i do give a hoot when issues that I know a lot about are interpreted backwards and someone is being judged to this extent through the ignorance of the so-called authorities.
Evra has the right not to know about Latin american spanish particularities, but the F.A. certainly does NOT have that right. On the contrary, they have the obligation to learn about it and understand it to put it into context.
Ok, I've blown off some steam, hope this helps at least a few people to understand the issue from a CULTURAL point of view, straight from a fully bilingual Uruguayan.

This is from the Indo comments section.

Well if it is not as if he used the word that SnoopDoggie Gog, 2pac, Lil Boosie, Nas, Cormega, Success'N'Effect, Jay Z, Training Day, Young Z, Nate robinson, Ed Torian, lil wayne featuring kid kid, James Van Der Beek, Paradise, Adina Howard featuring Yo Yo, Rough Riders (Not one of the CFL team!), DMX, Messy Marv, Poolhall Junkies, Cam, Hunterman, and Denzil Washington used.

As soon as anyone brings up a "reasonable" arguement about immigration policy and immigrants the discussion is immediately dragged down into the mire with name calling. In the end I had to give the African person a "written" warning for making unfounded false inflamatory allegations against a co-worker! This was the 3rd time this person had played the "racist card" when questioned about his work and his ability to do it correctly. He is not alone, as two other African co-workers have made the same "false" accusation/complaint (4 times) when questioned about their shoddy work. Seems to me that the self-elected leaders of the "Black" Africans in this country are doing exactly the same. We need to deal equally with people who falsely accuse people of been racist as with people who are "proactively" racist! ALEX FERGUSON has broken his silence on the Luis Suarez affair, describing the Liverpool striker’s eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra as “the right decision” and indicating that the Anfield club should accept the guilty verdict.

Just as Gary Bag of Spanners Neville should have served those suspended bans for bringing the game into disrepute when he further offended?

Just as Wayne Rooney accepts his punishment rather than threatening the FA not to co-operate with their commercial activities thus costing htem sponsorship?

You can see the gesture made here

Luis Suarez has been banned again after picking up a one-match suspension for his finger gesture at Fulham fans.

The striker, who has already been banned for EIGHT matches for racially abusing Patrice Evra, gave the bird to home fans at Craven Cottage earlier this month.

The Reds have also been fined £20,000 for failing to control their players in the fiery clash at Craven Cottage.

You can see the gesture so you know it happened but the other one was just on the word of a native French speaking player who was involved with a native Spanish speaker and conviently no-one else heard what happened and it was not picked up by the effects microphone so did it even happen?

SAVANT said...

Doesn't matter whether it happened or not. Once the 'person of colour' feels offended, that's all that's required.

David I'm Not as dumb as people think what I am Beckham gave a V sign to a crowd one time and got nothing because nobody gave a damn and the time he ran away from an assistant referee after disputing a thrown in and then turned around to shout Hijo de Puta and got red carded and a ban.

He had this ban overturned because he did not natively speak Spanish and he had no idea what he was shouting at the assistant.

But a negrito who gets involved with a non Spanish speaker picks up an 8 game ban.

It is discrimination! Disrimination! Wake up people!

It is indeed discrimination - most foul. Sadly, I've seen NOBODY saying this obvious truth. Serious brainwashing has gone on here folks. There's only a long and slow way back.

Prosecuting someone for something that might not have happened and not prosecuting people for things that did happen what will, or will not, happen next?

"Porque tu eres negro," Suarez replied in Spanish, which translates as "because you are black."

Read more: Suarez incident in SI

Suarez's claim that the racial slur used in the Oct. 15 Premier League match at Anfield was lost in translation was rejected by the English Football Association's independent panel, which on Saturday released a 115-page report into the incident.

No way of knowing what really happened between the native Spanish and native French speaker.

Thats all he said?

Kuyt says he said " stand up, stand up "...as he believed Evra was just lying there not really injured. The FA commission said Suarez evidence was unreliable but sure here we have Evra saying one thing and Kuyt another...why is Evra not under scrutiny here."

Here is the former Feyernoord player the FA wanted to go nuclear on!

It is all a case of mistaken identity.

because it was his guys doing it to their guys.

I bet the NCAA will do nothing about it because they do not have the backbone of the UK's CPS of the English FA.

Hey wiseguy Patrice Evra is a made man with the FA family and you mess with him you sleep with the fishes capice?

Lesson no 1. Black people in the UK cannot be racist Racism requires power plus prejudice We do not have the power to discriminate en mass.

So does that mean that Evra was racist when he used the n word in France?

"Just another quick note...how is it that the police can arrest a man in a crowd after a football match after one person complains with an alledged racist incident, and the evidence is both given by one witness and not supported by anything else (as far as we know), and yet finds it possible to investigate and dismiss a case of racial incitement after four days that has clear written and witnessed evidence? oh yes thats right, one complainent is a black football player and the others probably white nobodies. How is this the police representing justice or the people that employ them."

So John Terry's non nobodyness will save him from the PC justice mob?

We've taken collective leave of our senses.

Some legumes in the FA insisted on an English manager because Johan Foreigner does not have what it takes to lead England.

Capello was appointed and in the World Cup they disappointed which proved that Giovanni Foreigner could not lead England.

Somehow the FA took the captaincy from Terry even though it was Capello's choice as to who the captain was and which made it impossible for said Giovanni to remain manager.

When we take our lead in morality from the fine upstanding institution that is the FA we have taken collective leave of our senses.

Unfortunately you are not allowed to use the word that Patrice Evra used on his own teammates when describing the incident and quoting this poor unfortunate who seems to attract fake racist incidents like flies to Eric Cantona.

Grade A for Adlington thicko Ferdinand pulls an adlington

Rebecca Adlington had a problem with something Frankie Boyle said when it was repeated because she was too thick to understand it the first time.
But after the match, his then girlfriend showed him a clip of their exchange posted on YouTube, and he believed Terry had used the racist obscenity.

He believed?What does that mean?

He did not hear anything on the pitch when it happened now he wants to hear it after the game is ended?

Anonymous said...

The timing of Terry's ban is all wrong.

He is available to play against Norwich City.

Also he might not miss the Manchester United game.

He should be banned for that.

As should Mr Cheryl Cole.

That way the FA would leave nobody in any doubt that they are Manchester United's bitch.

"I think what we felt as an industry was that the Luis Suarez eight-match ban really did send out a strong message to the members of the union and the public at large that racism isn't tolerated in the game," Carlisle told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek programme. "To dilute that with this four-match ban, it has almost undermined the initial message that went out."

What was Evra doing to Suarez then?

allegations were made against Emre that he had racially abused Joseph Yobo. Lescott says he heard something and so did Tim Howard. So convinced were they of the Turkey midfielder’s guilt that they travelled to York to give evidence to the independent commission.

There was, however, a problem, something Newcastle’s legal team seized on. There was a slight discrepancy in the evidence submitted by the two Everton players as to what they thought Emre had said. In the end, the commission was ‘not satisfied that the charge was proved’ and the case was dropped.

‘I’ve not worn a Kick It Out T-shirt since,’ says Lescott.

‘And I haven’t smiled for the anti-racism campaign photographs we’ve posed for as a team, either. I just thought the whole thing was badly handled.

‘There was so much made of what wasn’t said rather than what was said. Me and Tim Howard went and gave evidence and yet we weren’t allowed any representatives. The player involved was — he had a whole legal team. But we were just there on our own.

‘Tim and I were walking away in different directions when it was said but look at the way we both reacted, at exactly the same time. We’ve heard something and it’s not like we’ve heard black and white. What we claimed was said wasn’t that different.

‘I was disappointed with everyone involved. We were told it would take a couple of days for them to review all the evidence at the hearing in York and I hadn’t even got home when it was announced that he had been cleared. I just thought, “Stuff it”. I’m not getting involved in the campaign again.’

So the testimony of an Everton darky and a semi who are native English speakers counts less than a noir who does not understand Spanish.

The FA are Ferguson's glove puppets.

Luis Suarez who twice stamped on opponents ankles and was only booked once had a shot past the goalkeeper ruled that he was offside and that it was not a goal and that has people sad.
Torres who played for the all White European Champions is sent off after being fouled and well he should not have been on at the time owing to his earlier foul which was a red card offence rather than the yellow he picked up.

Why all this sympathy for octaroon Suarez and none for complete non rooney of any sort whatsoever Torres?

It is as if there is one rule for part savages and another for civilised people!

Anonymous said...

But if Mark Battenburg did say a naughty word what will the FA do as they punished John Terry for something a court could not prove that he did?

And if so what was the naughty or naughtier word?

Given that Chelsea and QPR are rivals and the QPR fans thought that A Ferdinand was behaving like a Rioferdinand during and after the incident rather than being offended by what a bold rival player said to one of their own ... .
