Is it starting to kick off?

Many on this blog have wondered when the US finally reaches a point where printing money, mass immigration, AA and all the other elements of national destruction will come to a head.

Well, just take these headings from today's Drudge Report - yes, just a single day - and ask yourself if we've actually arrived....

Canada's economic growth rate twice America's...

Hospitals hunt substitutes as drug shortages rise...

Empty summer in the city for kids hit by cutbacks...

GOLDMAN SACHS: $5 gas coming...

TEMPLETON chairman: Financial Crisis 'Around Corner'...

Welcome to Utah; Gold, Silver Coins Accepted...

Gang-related riots in city to host 2012 DNC...

URBAN WEEKEND: Police, gunmen open fire on South Beach; three officers injured...

MIAMI 'WAR ZONE'...

Violent crime explodes in Myrtle Beach during Black Bike Week...

Going to be a lot of hot, smelly, angry niggers around this summer!

Did you watch FRONTLINE on RTE tonight?

What a disgusting display.

In an audience with quite a few funny looking 'Irish' people in it (read: blacks/indians), we were treated to an hour of 'discussion' about whether or not Ireland should continue to send 700 MILLION EURO to a select few 3rd world hellholes.

Think about that.

We cannot even take care of our own people (this was the real subject of tonight's show---revealing the horrific circumstances of homecarers of the disabled and sick since the cutbacks have come in). Even after seeing this, this brainwashed mob still applauded statements like the following: "Ireland does AID well, we don't do war, we don't do weapons, we do AID"
And one heinous specimen from the lefty outfit called Trocaire crowed: "We are responsible for teaching Africans how to rebel and rise against their unjust Governments"
!!!!
Yes, even this pathetic slime got applause!!!

The USA is not the only place in trouble. Far from it.

Many times Drudge runs to tabloid sensationalism and at first I dismissed Savant's post as overwrought with no discernible pattern to be considered.

Looking a bit closer, I noticed that blacks had been involved in recent disturbances at what are customarily white recreational facilities and more importantly venues that charge an admission.

Other pro-white websites have observed this pattern also:

We'll know more in 2 - 3 weeks when the majority of US public schools close for the summer.

Yeah, I watched that Frontline programme as well. Talk about insanity. WE're borrowing billions which we can't pay back and yet we're sending hundreds of millions to these parasites where it'll either be totally wasted or else end up in some politician's Swiss bank account.

And apparently the Feds are going after any business in Myrtle Beach sensible enough to close when the porch monkeys motor in. This is 'racist' and they'll be prosecuted. THAT kind of thing says to me that YT is going to rebel fairly soon.

I'm just back from a few weeks in the US (Delaware) and the remarkable thing to me was the attitude of the blacks I met there. They were for sure AA beneficiaries but they were TOTALLY unable to see that white Americans had given them so much, from the Civil War through countless 'reperations', AA, welfare and all the rest. But all they felt was a serious sense of grievance and victimhood. This does not auger well for the immediate future if and when white america finally has had enough.

I read about the slow motion riot in Miami, sounds just like the Notting Hill Carnival. This is what happens when blacks are allowed to do what they want, when we become afraid of telling them to pull their necks in.

Last year Notting Hill seemed to be in a war zone, a number of choppers were hovering over the war zone, seemed like tens of thousands of coppers were marching in formation to go to war, but in this war, they were told not to nick anyone!

After a hellish noisy day and night, one looks outside and sees mounds of rotting rubbish, broken bottles everywhere and the odd past out drunk, it looked like hell on earth!

And it stank!

Can't wait for this August Bank Holiday!!!

@anon 0.55. I don't believe that anyone on this thread, or indeed the main post, is attacking or denigrating America per se. Or for that matter saying we in Europe are doing things so much better. Definitely not me anyway!

What's being said is that the things and people that made America what it is (including the work ethic you refer to) are under attack and that maybe soon things are going to come to a head as the freebies run out for the parasites and the white prodctive class revolt against paying more (they won't be able to anyway).

Negroids are a nasty, ugly, violent species. In Memphis, Tuesday's used to be free to get into the zoo. Packs of negroids started fighting and shooting guns on one such day. No more free Tuesdays. Because of them, everyone now has to pay the high fee.

A friend's co-worker was coming out of a conveinance store and had a gun stuck to his crotch by a negroid that looked to be about 8.

In the stores if they actually have White people hired, Whites will wait 20 to a line to go through the White checker's line, even if there is only one person in the negroid's.

People complain about "da gubbament" and we quite naturally think of Obamalamadingdong and Cameron and Sarkozy. All the big shots. The ones who appear on TV at 6:00 PM. And give us a huge giggle when their eight-ton armoured limo hangs up on a speed bump ... put in for security purposes.

Oh, how we laughed.

I am convinced we should be aiming lower.

This is from:-

http://wiganpatriot.blogspot.com/

It refers to an exit strategy from the EU ... but I think the ramifications are much more far-reaching

The inertia of vested official interests in (say) the Foreign Office would be enormous. The extent to which long-established official attitudes within departments can frustrate even a determined government with a large majority has been demonstrated repeatedly over the years. To take a domestic example, the Thatcher government set out to reverse declining standards in state education with the idea of insisting on a basic national curriculum to ensure that, at least, the “Three Rs” were taught in schools. The “progressive” educational establishment was able to ambush this simple idea and turn the national curriculum into a complicated, prescriptive, jargon-laden monster which is now a major part of the problem. The doctrinaire educational establishment was able to divert and defeat the attempt to raise standards and to deceive not very bright politicians by “rising standards”, manufactured by making the exams easier. How much greater is the opportunity for that sort of obstructionism in untangling a project like the EU which affects so many departments of state and entrenched official interests? A referendum victory would be entirely hollow without MPs or government committed heart and soul to making independence a success and willing to confront and, if necessary to sack, obstructive officials - even if they are Permanent Secretaries.

Perhaps we should start looking at the faceless moles within.

As a teenager I worked in a govt. bureaucracy during my school holidays ... sorting parcels in the main Post Office. It was, in retrospect, like a scene out of Fritz Lang's "Metropolis".

The bureaucracy was like a huge lumbering machine. Grossly inefficient and comprising flawed components, but still (in those far-off days, anyway) capable of delivering -- after a fashion.

Oh, and did I say, self-perpetuating and unstoppable?

I think this is what we should be looking at. The bureaucracy ... the actual system.

The vital component in the machine. Think about it. If Chairman Zero and his big-assed ho evaporated tomorrow, nothing would really change.

But what if, say, by magic, the TSA and all their minions or Homeland Security and all their minions or the FBI, CIA, The Tax department, etc., etc., and all their minions... had to disappear overnight?

As they say in Waziristan ... "Oooofark."

The actual machinery of oppression ... not the symbol. We are being distracted again, by the little man (or army of minions) behind the curtain.

Whattaya think?
Uncle Nasty

BTW, did anyone act on my suggestion of buying the book:- "Bureaucrats and How To Annoy Them?" I seem to recall someone did.

My views are changing.

http://hat4uk.wordpress.com/

"Abbott Laboratories’ anti-cholesterol drug Niaspan secured a US FDA patent in 1997. The chaps at Abbott have been selling shedloads of the drug ever since, and today it’s in the global drug sales Top 50. In 2009, global revenue came to $717 million, and last year it was over $900m in sales value.

The drug is, however, useless. It doesn’t work, and it never has.

The US National Institute of Health has just announced the results of a 5-year study of Niaspan’s clinical performance.

NIH official Jeffrey Probstfield M.D. told the media last week (my italics) that, “The lack of effect on cardiovascular events is unexpected – and in striking contrast to previous trials and observational studies”.

It is often thus with pharmcos. Sales trials and results are sort of accepted, but then looks of offended innocence are offered to the FDA when such ‘results’ are contradicted later and/or elsewhere.
I wonder if Bin Laden’s hideaway – Abbotabad – was named after this company."

Anyone want to bet whether those poor suckers who bought it can get their money back?

Thought not.

And people are stupid, obnoxious, or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enough,

[singing]
Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
We go 'round every two hundred million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

[boom]

[slurp]

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth.

For every reported crime committed by an african-american, the publisher should print two white crimes. Crimes committed by african-americans is a rare, almost non-existent phenomena. Such crimes only exist in the haze of white fear and paranoia. I'm dissapointed the author even refered to the reference to afircan-american crime. Dangerously close to hate speech. STOP THE HATE!!

This dystopian project is called Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST). Using special cameras and sensors, FAST measures your heart rate, breathing, body temperature, eye movement, fidgeting and other physiological phenomena, then processes the information with a computer algorithm (just like an Internet search engine) to decide whether or not you are a threat.

A certain translator was very useful to Napoleon's high command, but was in fact a mole for the Russians.

Napoleon had figured out somebody in his camp was a mole; he stormed the command tent, startling everyone, and challenged the translator, accusing him of being the spy he in fact was.

He placed his hand on the translator's chest, over his heart.

The translator was scared, but mastered himself.

He said later of the incident"The aleph of Chassidism saved me from a certain death."

But in this case here, of mere machines, we can be sure of this:

There is no technology so idiot-proof that some nigger can't fuck it up.

Anonymous said...

Thor asks:

I mean, do people recognise that keeping the black populace to the standard they have come to expect must end some time soon?

First, it ain't just blacks. Plenty of light browns are in on it.

Asians too. Southeast Asians ain't too bright. East Asians are, but:

Asians cheat more than whites. They cheat the system almost every chance they get. That's why most Asian countries are still kinda poor, and why they don't really trust democracy. They imitate us, sure, but it's not the same and never will be, because they know what other Asians are like.

Innocent dumb white Midwesterner that I was, I never noticed on my own that Asians were cheaters. A Jew -- and a Chinaman who wasn't in on the clique -- had to point it out to me in grad school at Harvard.

The United States can't just end the black gravy train, and it can't just end the non-white gravy train. Whites on the gravy train don't want to think about that.

It would benefit taxpayers. It would be good for white people. Therefore it's racist.

There is no solution that is not racist.

So the answer is all whites know it, but few THINK about it.

The key to anon 2:07's post is the word slowly.

Detroit depopulated slowly, as did Rome, as will the United States.

The infrastructure won't crumble fast, neither will the banks, and not even the dollar.

Those things will all crumble, but soon they'll be as boring as hell. We'll get used to them.

Nixon imposed price controls when inflation reached a whopping 3%.

All "issues" not racial that whites find so fascinating today are going to be as boring as hell.

What will crumble fast is the ideology of white genocide.
What will crumble suddenly is anti-racism.

Is The Southern Poverty Law Center ($PLC) The Next Financial Bubble?

By Patrick Cleburne

[See also by Patrick Cleburne: Good News: SPLC loses $50 Million. Bad news: $PLC can afford it (2009); Will The Southern Poverty Law (And Investing) Center Return Its Madoff Money? (2010)]

Faces rather than figures supply the drama in this year’s annual documents from the Southern Poverty Law Center ($PLC to VDARE.com)—its Financial Statements and the IRS 990. (The so- called Annual Report is really just a sales brochure).

A Changing of the Guard is underway (the Center threw itself a 40th Birthday Party this past April). Since 2009 the Board Chairman has been Howard Mandell, a Rabbi from Virginia Beach. The past year, two new Directors have been named. Ellen Sudow appears to be part of the $PLC’s outreach to the homosexual community—amongst other involvements, she chairs the Governance Committee of “The Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League” (SMYAL). The other is a hedge fund manager called Andrew Fredman.

For those who are counting, this seems to mean that of the eleven Directors, one is Chinese, four are black, and five Jewish. Only one, James McElroy—notable for spearheading the effort to strip San Diego’s Mount Soledad of its cross—appears to be of traditional American Christian heritage.

This seems to be the new trend.

Favoured, unelected groups, so-called charities, NGO's and organisations clamber onto the bandwagon, hoovering up all spare cash and playing musical chairs with what little money is left.

Does anyone not see the huge bang coming?

Cheers,
UN

Funny, the kind of impact a few links on the drudgereport have on the wider public's perception of things.

Besides being the most influential recluse since Howard Hughes, Matt Drudge is - at least to me - impossible to figure out. Where does he stand?

A couple of years ago, I had the impression that Mr Drudge was perfectly happy to corral his readers into whatever direction the Republican National Comittee saw fit.

These days though he appears to be almost a Catonian figure, calling attention to the misdeeds of the TSA and now bringing to the forefront the issue of blacks gone wild.

Mr Drudge, who is a Jew by the way, seems to be torn apart by divided loyalties. On the one hand he knows that running his site according to the whishes of mainline Republicans will garner him vast monies, as these wishes just so happen to coincide with those of Wall Street and the vaunted military-industrial complex.

These wishes can be sumed up rather briefly. Don't metion race! Don't upset the invite/invade applecart!

On the other hand, Mr Drudge seems to have a genuine affection for the white people of the USA (maybe even a sense of kinship) and the idea of rule of law. Both are notions abhorred by Republicans, bankstas and warmongers alike.

I have no idea how the internal struggles within Mr Drudge's soul will turn out. However, seeing how influential he has become, I have a feeling that whatever side of him dominates the other, will have a major impact on the immediate future of the USA.

I call him the bipolar prophet and hope he turns out to be a Jew in the brave Moshe-Dayan-mold. Of course, he might just as well turn out to be nothing more than $PLC-Joo in a Teapartier's disguise.

For his sake, as well as the USA's, I hope the former comes true over the latter, with no more lukewarm muddling in between.

Re: Eimear

Both. It also happened in a very nice suburb (for being anywhere near memphis)in the pricey Germantown school district.

Another thing that happens is in the nice suburbs we had decent YMCA gyms, but busloads of negroid creatures from the inner city will travel around to all of our YMCAs instead of staying by their own during the little "summer programs" (ie programs set up so their moms don't have to deal with them and to keep them from running the streets causing trouble)so they run everyone else off.

We have a major negroid infestation in America and it's not pretty. Save your country while you can and never let your guard down around them, I don't care how pathetic and harmless they seem. They cannot control their impulses and one never knows what will set them off. People in this country get beat, stabbed or shot for looking at them in what they percieve to be the "wrong" way.

You must hold those who allow or encourage those creatures into your countries accountable. This isn't a game and we are tired of the anti-White rhetoric and the genocide of our people. Just think what it will be like as you grow old and all that is around are violent negroids.

Mr. Drudge made his bones as a clearing house for variegated journalistic opinions...his art involves the juxtaposing of conflicting articles in proximity to others. A tabloid point/counterpoint format.

Always on everyone's website "favorite" list...It has made him a multi-millionaire.

Just underlines the point that Savant has made repeatedlty - call ot the bad Jews but don't assume all are in that category.

Really? You must have missed the following bits. You're a nice white guy and so you probably want to miss them:

Matt Drudge is - at least to me - impossible to figure out.

I have no idea how the internal struggles within Mr Drudge's soul will turn out.

Danger, Will Robinson. There is danger in that, for both Jews and whites.

Just because you can't easily place them in a bad category doesn't mean you should assume they're in a good one.

As for me, I'd work with a Jewish individual, organization or group.

But I'd never tolerate a Jew within MY organization.

Your natural white inclination, when someone isn't obviously your enemy, is to assume they're just like you.

They're not.

Would you be so quick to trot out that caveat about, say, Puerto Ricans? They vote no more anti-white than Jews. But they don't look the same and have an accent.

East Asians vote less anti-white than Jews.

The most important genes don't show.

Not making negative generalizations about Jews -- even though every sane person knows there are exceptions, just as with every other group -- is part of the anti-white mindfuck.

One of the white writers ultimately purged from National Review was specifically told that in no uncertain terms at a party. Criticize individual Jews, fine. Criticize Jews? Penalty left unspecified. Just don't.

Fuck that shit.

(They're not entirely happy about positive generalizations, either, though there's certain satisfaction in it. They'd really rather you not think about Jews as a group, at all.)

As concerning AIPAC, rest assured that their lack of moderation will one day be their downfall. For most of its existence, this evil organization's strength was based on the fact that the taxpaying average Joe in Iowa wasn't aware of neither its existence, nor its influence.

Hubris has led AIPAC to blow that most valuable cover and seek greater publicity. Consequently, blame for much of what has befallen the USA and will befall it in the future, will be squarely put on them.

They really are much like that famous Sicilian subculture in the 1980s. When Luciano Leggio and Toto Riina craved the trappings of overt power, they unknowingly invited the blowback that put them both behind bars and crippled their organization to this day.

Few sociopaths have the talent, inclination and stamina to remain Keyser Söze like figures, pulling the strings from the shadows.

The Sicilians couldn't pull it off.

And the luminaries of AIPAC, the ADL and $PLC clearly aren't able to do so either.

@anon 7.28. Thank you for this post. I find it most interesting, illuminating and indeed convincing. Especially those things that will develop slowly and those that will happen suddenly. What I do not get is the depopulation concept.

It would appear that when rat colonies are thrust upon sudden hard times, the females become infertile, and remain that way until the population drops naturally.

Unfortunately third-worlders aren't rats, but when you think about it, all species are but one generation away from extinction.

Plummeting infant survival rates under apocalyptic conditions could cause near extinction in two generations.

Even with our billions. A sobering thought.

You are quite right. I got that wrong. Obumbler's total staff, on his recent visit to the UK numbered 500.

He only had 200 security staff.

"Obama arrived with 500 staff in tow, including 200 Secret Service agents a team of six doctors, the White House chef and kitchen staff with the President's own food and water.

And, according to the Evening Standard, he also came with "35 vehicles in all, four speech writers and 12 teleprompters." For sure, our president is not going to be at a loss for words.

The press duly reported on Air Force One and all its bells and whistles but also on the presence of the presidential helicopter, Marine One, and a fleet of identical decoys to ferry him from Stansted airport to central London.

Among all those vehicles is the presidential limousine, which one local paper mistakenly called Cadillac One, but is universally referred to as the Beast. The limo, reinforced with ceramic and titanium armor, carries a tear gas cannon, night vision devices and its own oxygen and is resistant to chemical and radiation attack. It is, marveled one reporter, a sort of mobile panic room. The Guardian called it "the ultimate in heavily armored transport."

The president is entitled to all the security, communications and support he feels necessary to do his job but surely, when we're trying to project a more restrained, humble image to the world, the president's huge retinue could be scaled back to something less than the triumphal march from "Aida."

And you thought that we were in the depths of a deep recession/"dire crisis" that requires Americans of all walks of life to make sacrifices! Silly You!

Methinks Uncle is referring to the Pharao Obama here. Alhough his recent visit to Europa was apparently not the most megalomaniac display his handlers could dream up.

A year or so ago, when the Pharao graced India (not Indiana, mind you) with his presence, the NPR had this to say:

"Ahead of President Obama's visit to Mumbai, security officials aren't taking any chances. Crews are trimming palm trees around the Ghandi Museum to prevent aerial attacks — from falling coconuts. In Delhi, where he'll stay near a jungle where monkeys are known to cause mayhem, police have built towers with searchlights and are deploying trained "monkey-catchers."

So instead of laying claim to the ancient title of "lord of sedge and bee", this particular Pharao is the "mighty ruler of nut and monkey". Go figure.

There is a massive bubble in US T-bonds. It makes no sense whatsoever. At some point people are going to realise this and T-bonds will be worthless. Maybe at Bernankes next QE. Maybe the one after that.

This is a fact. The US Dollar is going to die at some point in the future. The only question is timing and timing is everything. Seeing bubbles is easy, selling/buying at the right time is the hard part. Too early and you'll end insolvent, too late and you may find yourself buying on the wrong side.

befuddled said...

Thanks Reg and anon 18.21. I understand, but surely, if as you say everyone knows the dollar is toast, why don't they start offloading BEFORE it goes down. I take anon's poi nt that a massive offloading would precipitate exacly the collapse, but surely they'd be offloading a lot, and CERTAINLY not buying any more. Although I seem to remember Franz saying that the Chinese are not buying any US T bonds at presebt.

Franz said...

@ Befuddled,

lots of reasons for the seemingly illogical resilience of the dollar.

A big one is leverage. Most financial institutions operate with a leverage in excess of 30:1. If they get caught by a short term dollar rally while being short with said amount of leverage, they are toast.

In 2008 many institutions were on the wrong sides of parabolic dollar & yen rises and many expect such a thing to occur again in the next couple of months. (google "2008" and "carry trade unwind" if you are interested in the subject)

Consequently many investors are willing to take small & steady losses in their dollar holdings, rather than risking to be wiped out in another great risk-off-event such as 2008.

That being said, things could get interesting vis a vis the dollar very soon. The chart for the dollar index (the dollar measured against a basket of other currencies, DXY) shows a big double top, we are nearing the all time lows near 70, and the Chinese are indeed beginning to divest themselves of treasuries and consequently, dollars.

This summer/fall could see either a dollar crisis with a watershed decline in the value of it OR another crazy dollar rally a la 2008.

When the two most likely scenarios are complete opposites of each other, it is hard to position oneself in a sensible manner.

I assure you, I am loosing sleep over this right now.

Anonymous said...

Although I seem to remember Franz saying that the Chinese are not buying any US T bonds at presebt.

China's moved from short term bills to bonds, but has mostly stopped buying since October.

A reason some might buy dollar debt is to keep their own currency from rising.

Another reason: avoid repatriation of profits.

And another: what else are you going to do with dollars?

What would you buy, sold in dollars, instead?

It's almost the same as the fractional reserve banking problem.

Fractional reserve banks need a central bank to referee, otherwise they bankrupt each other.

So, assume you've got dollars from trade. Assume your neighbor also has dollars. Assume your neighbor buys US dollar-denominated debt.

Assume your neighbor will be repaid with new dollars.

Where does his profit come from?

Unless you've traded your dollars for something else, it comes from YOU.

So, unless you see some other good opportunity, you have to buy dollar-denominated debt in order to avoid the purchasing power of your dollars just evaporating. You can't hold on to dollars. You just can't.

If you already have lots of US debt, you're screwed. You don't have a choice. You have to buy US debt in order to avoid bankruptcy.

But lo! Everybody's doing the same thing, so everybody's going to go bankrupt anyway. Nobody's going to fall on his sword to save everybody else.

A financial journalist wrote that money often resembled a herd of panicked animals on the run. The world needs a reserve currency and the dollar provides that service.

Franz said...

@ Uncle Nasty

Technically speaking, it wouldn't be a serious problem tracking all the stolen monies and taking them back.

However, many of these ill-begotten sums were acquiered in accordance with the laws of our day.

Realistically, even a decisive judiciary would only be able to lock up the worst offenders. For example, the CEO of Goldman Sachs perjured himself repeatedly since 2008. I think a RICO case with a complete asset seizure would be in the realm of possibility here.

But getting it all back? Short of a violent revolution and redistrinution of assets, there is no way to to do that.

And would we want to see that happening? A mob taking stuff from some and awarding it to whomever it sees fit? I give you a dialogue with Thomas More which reflects my inclinations:

WILLIAM ROPER: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

SIR THOMAS MORE: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

ROPER: I’d cut down every law in England to do that!

MORE: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ’round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!

As far as I am concerned the best outcome for the current crisis would be a realization that the debts have become to great to be honored, a quick and cruel catharsis, a reset of the financial system and a news set of laws designed to treat financal crimes as such - not as misdemeanours, as is customary now.

In short, I'd certainly like to extract vengance from the criminal Wall Street set. If, however, the price for that is the introduction of some form of neo-Bolshevism, I'd swallow my anger and content myself by taking care to prevent new Banksta-heists in the future.

P.S.: Don't fall for that 97% stuff. The Chinese are getting out of US debt, but they are doing so in incremental fashion, as is their custom. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/bizchina/2011-05/17/content_12525714.htm

@Franz,

Careful. Bills (short term) not bonds. China moved from short term to long term.

UN asks:

Or have I gt it completely wrong?

Real wealth is goods and services.

If you have lots of currency, and everybody else decides they don't want it, you are suddenly poor.
Nobody stole anything.

If you have lots of a stock or bond, and everybody else decides they don't want it, you are again suddenly poor.
Nobody stole anything.

If I go public with my company, my company gets an infusion of cash when I go public. If my company is sound, but suckers over time bid the stock up well beyond its value, then the last sucker loses his shirt, and a little piece of his shirt can be said to have gone to everybody who bought and sold the stock before him. The profit is disconnected and distributed in time.
(Just don't pay any attention to the options I exercised in the meantime.)

If I go public with my piece of shit internet company and suckers buy it up at double the offering price?
Well that's just business.

All value not a good or service just exists in people's heads, and it can just vanish. That's why they're called paper profits. It's not an actual profit until you exit the position.

1) The money wasn't stolen (except for Goldmans and even then it depends on how you define stolen.)
2)Yes it is possible to track it down. It would cost a fortune and years of work. The number of years would depend on how much Investment institutions cooperate. Laws would have to be enacted to accommodate the investigators. The investigators would have to be from the industry due to specialized knowledge required. Prosecuting anyone would require specialised judges and lawyers. We are talking about instruments that only a very small number of people (maybe 10,000) understand fully. In theory it could be done but nobody would be insane enough to try.

3) NO The wealth is not somewhere. It was magicaly created (simple explanation) from nothing and now it is gone. The only thing left is the people who are owed money.

So, taking what Franz and Reg say, it seems really that a load of paper wealth has changed hands and the last person left standing has been caught out. But why should this cause a major recession? It's a zero sum game, no?

Anonymous said...

But why should this cause a major recession? It's a zero sum game, no?

No.

Not even on a cash basis, with inflation.

You thought you had half of your wealth and several years' income in your retirement plan. It's now gone. Do you think that will change your behavior?

Even if you didn't get hit yourself, you look around you and see a lot of people who thought they were secure and safe and turned out not to be. This thought occurs to you: Maybe I'm not safe, either, broker's sales pitch be damned. And you change your behavior.

Bull and bear markets, growth and recessions, are the stuff of mass psychology.

Franz said...

@ Reg and Anon 13:13

You have both stated that "The money wasn't stolen".

I must object here. There was theft. I'll try to demonstrate it, taking Ireland as an example, by creating a little chronology of events.

1) There is a boom. Certain developers and banks go on a credit binge.

2) During the boom, said devellopers and bankers profit immensely. They pull all profits OUT of their corporate vehicles in the form of dividends and bonuses. All debts are not paid down, but remain WITHIN the corporate vehicles.

3) The boom ends. All debts and losses are now "guaranteed", that is rolled over into the government's budget, to wit on the shoulders of the Irish taxpayer.

After the boom-bust cycle is completed, you have a small clique of people who retain immense profits from the boom years. The average citizen, on the other hand, is now taxed to repay the debts incurred by this very small clique.

I ask you: Is this not theft? To bushwack an unsuspecting citizenry with a cool couple of billions of debt? Debt which the average Irishman had no hand in incurring but now has to pay back? Are not those people that reaped the profits during the good times responsible for the pyramids of debts which they themselves erected? Should not they use their past profits to pay down their own debts?

Since late 2008 I have told anybody that listened that the doings since then amount to the greatest heist in history. To date, I have had no reason to question that sentiment.

P.S. I am aware of the difference between bills and bonds. If you read the link from Chinadaily which I provided, you'll see that the Chinese have started to divest themselves of all US government SECURITIES. Moves along the curve notwithstanding, this means net sales of US debt.

Anonymous said...

The problem is the corporation, the separation of liability, control, and ownership. The owners aren't liable. The controllers sometimes are, but never to the extent a partner would be.

Corporations are not intrinsic to capitalism. In Ye Olde Days, corporations were instituted for a specific purpose and for a limited time.

Ben Stein said the problem with Goldman is that it is no longer a partnership. They did bad because it's no longer a partnership.

I think it's the reverse.

A return to Victorian standards of liability would be a "good thing."

Check this fellow out:-

"JOURNAL: Ding Dong Osama's Dead Redux

Here's a challenge to the dominant perspective that hopefully get's you thinking (after you get over being pissed off):

Great. Osama's dead. Good job to my former compatriots in tier one. Unfortunately, Osama may have already won strategically by the time they got to him. How?

He was able to cause an over reaction whereby the US did serious harm to itself. Here's the run down. You decide.

$3 Trillion in expense and thousands of lives fighting two optional wars that helped plunge the US gov't in fiscal crisis. Osama's attack made it possible for defense and homeland security spending to skyrocket to levels not seen since the darkest depths of the cold war (where we were in a struggle with a global superpower).

The US now spends as much on defense as the rest of the world combined with little expectation that this spending will be reduced.
Osama was able to force the US into creating a masssive internal security apparatus (the Homeland Security Department) that is still growing rapidly. It now represents the largest internal security market in the world and is a hefty tax on all productive economic activity.

A perpetual state of emergency has been declared in the US. Liberties have been suspended indefinitely. Technological scanning of communications and data is not under any meaningful oversight. Anybody can be held indefinitely w/o trial or commication. Anbody can be tortured through rendition.

The President can even designate any American an enemy combatant (a list of people we can expect to see grow rapidly over the next decade), which means that they can be killed on sight w/o trial or due process.

So, my question to you is: who won?

Indeed. Who won? And, more importantly, who lost, and what did they lose?

All the foregoing, of course, depending on whether or not you actually believe the Osama-as-ultimate-Spawn-of-the-Devil construct.

I totally agree with this bit on OBL. He and terrorists generally have won, for the reasons UN lays out, but also due to the huge expesne and inconvenience that applies to airport security operations.

This is fun. Two homeowners foreclose on the bank.

Yes ... you read that right.

http://www.winknews.com/Local-Florida/2011-06-03/Tables-Turn-Deputies-and-movers-show-up-at-bank-to-seize-property-for-homeowner-#ixzz1OHElPqQs

A little bit:-

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - A bank foreclosure story you've got to see to believe. A Collier County couple turns the tables on Bank of America, the bank that tried to foreclose on their home. Now, the family is foreclosing on the bank! Even bringing trucks and deputies ready to seize property.

The foreclosure nightmare started when Warren and Maureen Nyerges paid cash for a home owned by Bank of American in the Golden Gate Estates. They never had a mortgage whatsoever. But, the bank fouled it up and wound up issuing a foreclosure through their attorney ...

Not quite sure where to post this ... it's a comment on Bitcoin.

For those who are interested (Savant and Franz, in particular), I post the link, with no comment from myself. I merely give you another person's take on it.

Your opinions, of course, are welcomed.

Oh, and a warning.

http://modernitysucks.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/south-africa-then-and-now/

The black and white images in the "before" section could have been from my family album.

The "after" section is a little too kind and fuzzy depicting present-day South Africa. I could take you to images that would make your teeth fall out.

Truly.

Take a lesson and learn from this ... stamp the fuckers out.

By. Any. Means. Possible.

For our American cousins.

Welcome to 1933 ... again.

IRS to begin tracking gold and silver coin purchases

The good folks over at numismaster.com report that, starting on January 1st in 2012, U.S. federal law will require coin and bullion dealers to report to the Internal Revenue Service all gold and silver coin purchases and sales greater than $600. The report is written by David L. Ganz and is headlined "$600 Sale? Get Ready for Tax Form." Apparently this little jewel was an add-on to the national health care legislation.

National Health Care legislation?

I wonder what else the Karamel Koloured Koo Koo and his enablers have up their sleeves regarding the "National Health Care" legislation. Declaring war on Japan, perhaps?

This will be interesting.

No doubt about it, Bitcoin can easily be abused as this link shows. However, it does not HAVE to be. It can be cut off at birth if people act sensibly. IMHO.

That piece about the Feds tracking precious metals. That's a sure sign of preparing for a currency collapse. When that happens the 1st thing an unscrupulous government will do is to protect the debased currency by seizing/freezing hard currencies and precious metals. End-time is coming close!

As regards the danger of a Bitcoin pump and dump going on, it is certainly a very real possibility.

If you look up Bitcoin in google trends, you'll see that the Russians got VERY interested in bitcoins during the month of may. Before they couldn't care less.

Is this a sign that some Eastern European no-goodnicks are doing the pump to set up the dump? Maybe.

The other possibility is that certain characters are in the process of waking up to the possibility of channeling their illicit money flows through bitcoin.

Apparently there is already an Ebay for hard drugs (Silk Road) accepting no currency but Bitcoins.

I have accepted the necessity to keep company with some shady people if I endorse Bitcoin. On the other hand, I see it as a revolutionary tool with the potential to topple existing power structures.

After all, everything we hate - such as our governments' invite/invade policies or bankstas ripping off tax-paying citizens - is based upon the foundation of state-endorsed fiat money. Take away the so called elite's ability to run up debts, to induce deflation and inflation at their merest whim and most of their plans are thwarted.

Our overlords are very aware of this and consequently - as Croesus remarked - are preparing for the confiscation of gold and silver.

No conflict is won by fighting with the last war's weapons and accepting the enemy's rules of engagement. That is why we need to stash away physical gold and silver AND embrace new-fangled economic weapons like Bitcoin.

Anybody thinking that he can escape debt peonage and enforced diversity merely by showing up at the ballot box at the appointed time is delusional and will be crushed like a roach by the powers that be.

The only way for the white race to survive is to employ our wits, figure out where the enemy's weak spots are and then attack them.

I submit that paper money and its derivatives are the weak spot of the death, destruction and diversity wielding Goliath we face. Consequently, it is high time to commence the attack.

Is Bitcoin the projectile that will slay the beast? I don't know. But it is hard, with pointed edges and if enough of us shoot it from our slings, the enemy will howl in pain and terror.

If my musings on economic warfare sound far fetched, I would like to call attention to Bitcoin's greatest and earliest enemy in the field of establisment politics: Chuck Schumer. He has already denounced Bitcoin as a money laundering method and has vowed to bring it down.

Anybody familiar with the name Chuck Schumer knows that this Hebrew reptile has made it his personal business to take away the white man's freedom, property and happiness.

I ask you: If arch-Nemisis Chuck Schumer is against Bitcoin, should not we all be for it and use it to effect the greatest damage to the system which is a breedings ground for white-hating, lowlife thugs such as Mr Schumer?

"No conflict is won by fighting with the last war's weapons and accepting the enemy's rules of engagement."

Rather nicely put there, Franz.

As someone once said, the generals always re-fight the last war with the last war's tactics and weapons.

I remember someone once describing classic fascism as an unholy alliance between the state, the industrialists and the financiers.

Here's something interesting ... the list of ex Goldman Sachs employees who went to work for the US govt.

One or two maybe? A dozen?
Think again.

http://the-classic-liberal.com/white-goldman-sachs-house/

Dianna Farrell:

Obama Administration: Deputy Director, National Economic Council
Former Goldman Sachs Title: Financial Analyst

Stephen Friedman:

Obama Administration: Chairman, President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board
Former Goldman Sachs Title: Board Member (Chairman, 1990-94; Director, 2005-)

Gary Gensler:

Obama Administration: Commissioner, Commodity Futures Trading Commission
Former Goldman Sachs Title: Partner and Co-head of Finance

Robert Hormats:

Obama Administration: Undersecretary for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs, State Department
Former Goldman Sachs Title: Vice Chairman, Goldman Sachs Group

Philip Murphy:

Obama Administration: Ambassador to Germany
Former Goldman Sachs Title: Head of Goldman Sachs, Frankfurt

And while we're at it, count the hebrews.
