Happy Christmas Everyone!

Yes, I did say Christmas, not one of the multitude of sickly alternatives our PC thought police are forcing down our throats. Uncle Nasty offers the following seasonal thoughts......
.
"Let me be the first to make a politically incorrect announcement on this day.Merry Christmas to all on the blog.May we all go from strength to strength in 2011 and may we all continue to be a thorn, nay, an 1896 Lee-Enfield bayonet in the side of those who so richly deserve it ..."

Well said, Uncle!
.
As you've probably noticed, we do have quite a number of opponents on this blog, but for everyone else, continue the good fight and publicise this blog (and like-minded ones) by referencing our posts on other popular sites, or by any other method possible. Remember Google has in effect removed us from its search engine so publicity for the cause is an ongoing battle.

Happy Christmas to all.
It just dawned on me but I was looking for work a while back. I sent my cv to five companies where I was an exact match to their requirements. I got a response from all with one day. All except Google. The never ever responded. Now I know recruitement is usually a complete disaster zone in most companies but the initial process of contacting a person where they have all the buzz words on their cv should be simple even for the most pompus HR cretin. Yet nothing from Google. I do know they were actually recruiting because I know someone who was called in for interview.
So my question is. Do google keep tabs on what sites you go to and then build a profile? Can they access phone logs to put names to IP addresses. Normally I'd say no but look what they did with the open networks. Certainly they wouldn't call me to interview if they recorded what sites I go to.
I don't use Google anymore if I can help it. Kinda like Ryanair.

Savant, you were wondering how to increase the width of your blog-page.

This youtube video on Google blogs might help you decide on a better presentation. Changing Your Google Blogger Template http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0aJ0VYKsNs&feature=related

Reg: This is quite possible. In fact data mining tools can very easily link yourIP address with visits to 'offending' web sites and even to specific comments, especially if they're made to a Blogger (owned by Google) site.

Question is, would they bother? Is it worth it to them?Especially when doing this could expose them to seerious litigation by the victims.

So, I just don't know, other than that it's technically very easily done.

anon 11.07 - thanks for the advice, but I don't know where you got the idea that I need to increase the width of the blog page. What I was referring to was the need to widen the readership of the blog given that it's been effectively taken out of Google searches. I.e. to get the message to as wide an audience as possible.

I don't know why Google has it in for this site so much. There are similar blogs and sites that are easy to find with their searches.

Merry Christmas Savant. A Lee Enfield sword bayonet sounds about what they deserve.
