Delicious dilemma

Poor old Pastor Jones mustn’t know what hit him, such has been the avalanche of abuse that's descended on his grizzly head. Most of this, needless to say, has emanated from ‘liberal’ sources. Even that renowned political scientist Angelina Jolie has weighed in, gasping "I have hardly the words that somebody would do that to somebody's religious book."

Incidentally, Angie imparted these words of wisdom swathed from head to toe in burka-like clothing, speaking as she was, during a publicity stunt visit to Pakistan. While there I wonder if she also extolled the virtues of bisexual three-in-a-bed sex, a forte of hers for many years?

Amazingly, neither Angie, nor any of the rest of the scandalised ones suffered a similar reaction to “artists” depicting Christ in a vial of urine and blood, the ‘sculpture’ of the Virgin Mary made out of cow dung, or the limitless ways Christianity is mocked today.

How do they reconcile such inconsistencies? Maybe they don't, but more and more of them are being faced with the problem. And it’s a dilemma that’s going to grow. I say this because surely, now that the Koran burning has attracted so much attention, there’ll be in due course a number of copycat initiatives. In fact it’s happening already.

This will present them with what is, to me at least, a delicious dilemma. The rapidly growing power and presence of Islam are gradually revealing its full awfulness to even the most obdurate. This will run smack into the growth in ‘provocative’ acts I referred to above. These developments in turn will force ‘liberals’ (they are not real liberals of course, as I show in this post) into what are to them unpleasant choices.

There will be no avoiding the fact that the response of choice by Muslims is violence as it explodes in response to the growth in provocations I referred to. Liberals do not like violence, especially when it creeps up to their doorstep. (Ask any liberal academic who has fled a lovely diverse neighbourhood for the all-white suburbs).

I’m reminded of the old aphorism ‘what’s a conservative? A liberal who’s been mugged’

Sit back and enjoy their dilemma, I say!

i don't understand why everything has to be catered to Muslims and it seems to me everyone is scared to offend them in fears of being retaliated to. so it's okay for Muslims to burn Jesus' picture, or make fun of the Pope or any other religion BUT if we do the same to their prophet - they want Jihad!

More and more (halal) chickens coming home to roost.

Hard to know if your right. I'd say a tipping point will be reached. At that point we'll either have decided to fight back effectively and give the Mozzies a black eye, or else we'll have effectively given up, which means we accept all of their (increasing) demands and turn in on ourselves.

the worst i have seen was on you tube where brit soldiers were coming home to their native base and were shouted and disrespected while marching through town after coming home from iraq, america may be in some ways be screwed up but we would never let the Muslims here do this thing.

I'm not much given to religious interest at all, but the towelheads are clearly bad news. The others are forever trying to save my soul or convert me to vegetarianism. Allah is the only asshole who wants to kill me.

On a side note, the fact that anyone (other than her husband and that's a stretch) gives a damn about what Jolie spews out her pie-hole, pretty much assures me that civilization is indeed in rapid decline.

Re the abuse of the soldiers coming home. It was revealed that most of those doing the abuse were living on welfare!

Just color me surprised. Her's a plan. When soldiers buy out of the service, give them first option of running the welfare department. Having everyone who works welfare being ex-service might go a way to straightening things out some.

Here we have some fine examples of things that seem very common among our folks of the religion of peace and ever so high morals.

@ Bemused Stare: We also know of course that Muslim countries are right at the bottom of all international corruption rankings.

Insults to Muslims

Please be advised that unguarded words or ill though out diagrams, however innocent the intention, may be offensive to those of the Muslim faith.
Although I’m unable to provide an exact definition as to what is acceptable or not acceptable, the following examples should assist you in avoiding offence to Muslims.

Just a few months ago in Kashmir, Muslims were insulted and rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London's St. Paul's Cathedral.

In 1994, Muslims were again insulted when German supermodel Claudia Schiffer wore a Karl Lagerfeld-designed dress printed with a saying from the Koran. She was threatened with death.

In 1997, insulted and outraged Muslims forced Nike to recall 800,000 shoes because they claimed the company's "Air" logo looked like the Arabic script for "Allah."

In 1998, another innocent logo caused insult to Muslims, which resulted in demands for withdrawal of Unilever's ice cream logo -- which Muslims claimed looked like "Allah" if read upside-down and backward.

In 2002, an offended al-Qaida cell plotted to blow up Italy's Church of San Petronio because it displayed a 15th century fresco depicting Mohammed being tormented in the ninth circle of Hell.

That same year, Nigerian Muslims who felt insulted by the Miss World beauty pageant, stabbed, bludgeoned or burned to death 200 people in protest, as it was considered an affront to Allah.

In 2005 a report was published in Newsweek about a US interrogator at Guantanamo flushing a Quran down a toilet gravely insulted Islam. Although the report was false and later retracted it set off violent riots in the Middle East.

In 2005, British Muslims felt insulted and offended over a Burger King ice cream cone container whose swirly-texted label resembled, you guessed it, the Arabic script for "Allah."

In 2007, Muslims were insulted again in Sudan after an infidel elementary school teacher innocently named a classroom teddy bear "Mohammed." Muslim protesters chanted, "Kill her, kill her by firing squad!" and "No tolerance -- execution!"

And who could forget the insult felt by Muslims worldwide over the publication of Danish cartoon in 2006? The cartoons caused riots from Afghanistan to Egypt to Lebanon to Libya, Pakistan, Turkey and in between.

This year in Denmark Muslims were insulted by a popular female singer of Chilean origin, whose name is Medina. Median is a common name in Chile. Insulted Muslims threw eggs at her on stage recently.

Everything from sneakers to stuffed animals to comics to frescos to beauty queens to fast-food packaging to undies to singers serves as a means of insulting the followers of Islam. All non Muslims the world over should therefore consider very carefully what they are going to say before they say it so as no offence is given to Muslims. Imagine you are treading on eggshells is probably a good idea.

So be careful out there. Unless like me and in the words of Rhett Butler “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”.

South African readers of IS will appreciate this maxim:

"What is a South African Conservative? - A Liberal who has had a darkie bus stop erected in the street at the end of his driveway."

You could burn the Talmud without fear of violence, that I am sure of.

Spitting counts as assault in some jurisdictions though.

(Hmm. Does the Indian propensity for spitting account for the adoption of Indian infants by Jewish women?)

Now, if I wore a Santa costume while I burned it, that would just be too much to take!

just a thought savant but has islam in ireland convertrd any groups of native irish to their religion, and if so get a huge stick and beat them like yesterday.

SAVANT said...

There are some'converts' to the Religion of Peace but thankfully not too many so far.

I'll bear your suggestion in Mind!

"...but has islam in ireland convertrd any groups of native irish to their religion..."

Here's a British example, so they're diligently working at turning your mind.

France just banned the burqa! At least someone in Europe has guts these days.

Remember, people --

After you take an Allah,

Be sure to wipe your Mohammed.

"so they're diligently working at turning your mind."

You wouldn't want to try that on the natives in an Islamic country!

What you Euros need is a pan-European "burn a Quran" day to incite riots all ove Europe. Then the government may finally wake up and get out of the way while the peoplem kick them out of the country.

newboyintown said...

MarkinLA. This is a key point. Two elements are required: First it has to be on a massive scale so that the 'perpetrators' can't be singled out for retribution. Then the reaction has to be on a massive scale. This will then - hopefully - show to our 'leaders' that they have to choose between their own people and the Muzzies. Once that happens the solution would be in sight.
