Bastard forced out at last

I see that pernicious pedophile pope-poisoning bastard 'Doctor' John Magee has been forced out of the bishop-prick of Cloyne. I outlined the background to the case here.

Needless the say, the explanation was a tissue of lies 'too much work, more time with the family' sort of thing. Fact is, he became too much of an embarrassment even for the Catholic Church, and that's saying some ting. But do these people care absolutely nothing for the truth? Does lying mean nothing to them?

Answers on a postcard.

I also note that one of the priests at the centre of the scandal, 'Father B' continues to perform his ministerial duties. But 'under supervision'. Under supervision?

What the hell does does that mean? So presumably you have Father B, providing spiritual and moral guidance to this child. And you have a couple of heavies standing by in case he jumps the child and rapes him.

Am I finicky, or is there something wierd about this?

The Bishop of Cloyne did not cover up child abuse. The Director of Public Prosecutions has directed that NO charges should be brought against the two accused priests and the Gardai have confirmed that they have NO current investigations in hand relating to child abuse claims.

The roots of the hysteria about Bishop Magee are that:

(1) When the two complainants approached him originally they said that they did NOT want the Gardai informed and Magee agreed to listen to them on that basis. He could have saved himself a lot of trouble by saying: "Look if you tell me anything, I have to report it to the Gardai". Presumably they would have refused to talk and gone away and no one would have ever heard of the allegations. Would that have made everything OK?

One of the accusers is a priest of the diocese of Cloyne who is making allegations against another priest. Was his own Bishop supposed to refuse to listen to him? Because to tell him "if you say anything I have to report it", is the same as refusing to listen.

(2) When the accusers decided they wanted to go public, Magee informed the Gardai about the allegations. Under the terms of the Guidelines on child abuse he is supposed to inform the Health and Safety Executive as well. He did not do that because he thought the Gardai would. This is the basis of the claim that Magee falsely reported that he was in full compliance with the Guidelines. The hysteria about that mistake is ludicrous. (It is the reason why the Minister directed that Judge Yvonne Murphy should carry out a full investigation of Cloyne.)

The Gardai also failed to notify the HSE, have made no apology about it and there is no hysteria directed at them.

This is just another Irish witch-hunt. Since 1994 EIGHT Irish Bishops have been the target of false sex allegations - including Bishop Magee. Actually the number is really seven Bishops because the first of the 8 allegations in 1994 was made against an un-named Bishop who is almost certainly Magee. So Magee was falsely accused TWICE. It is hardly surprising that he takes the allegations against his priests with a grain of salt. So do the DPP and the Gardai which makes me wonder again why no criticism is directed at them.

THIS MAY NOT HAVE GONE THROUGH THE FIRST TIME?

Kilbarry, from the day Magee arrived in Cloyne he has blocked and impeded investigations of every kind. How is it that a report by his own Church agency was so damning of him?

If this were a once-off there might, just might, be an innocent explanation. But this guy has been pulling tricks since god knows when.

Dont defend the indefensible
