Halleluiah - the Cleansing Hellfire cometh

Every cloud has a silver lining, and the economic storm clouds settling over Ireland at present are no exception. As I've suggested in earlier posts, I've long believed that our economic crash would flush out a few scurvy beetles from under their stones. Now the trusty sword of desperation has been taken to a whole herd of victim and equality white elephants.

The Equality Authority has had its budget cut in half – they’re half way there – while 15 staff members will be transferred to deepest Tipperary. Hopefully some of them won't go and there’ll be a further reduction. The Human Rights Commission will have its budget cut by 25%, while best of all, the National Consultative Commission on Racism and Interculturalism is to be completely axed.

Now let’s not get carried away. The country remains infested by hundreds more of these parasites. For instance there are almost 200, that's right, two hundred, bodies directly or indirectly dealing with immigration/asylum. But at least it’s a start. What's even better is that despite the bleatings of the MSM, nobody else seems to give a damn.

Let’s be clear. There was a need originally for many of these outfits. But they should have been disbanded after the requisite legislation was passed. Not only have they, like all bureaucracies, continually grown and expanded (via taxpayers’ money of course) but they attracted the usual nut-cases who thrive in such organisations. You must check this short post to get a sense of what I mean.

The cleansing hell-fire is upon the land.

I'm not sure there will be that much difference. Some have been just merged into government ministries so they might continue to do the damage from there.

Very good news. This has already started in England and a few other places. Here in Canada i know from very serious sources that the much despised B'nai Brith doesn't have more than 2 years of life in it.

rhein - why id bnai brith much despised, or is that a silly question?

We lost our country(South Africa)through skillful propaganda, pressure from abroad (not least from the U.S.A.), unrelenting charges of "oppression" and "racism," and the shrewd assessment by African tyrants that the white man has many Achilles' heels, the most significant of which are his compassion, his belief in the "equality of man," and his "love your neighbor" philosophy - none of which are part of the Third World's history.

Not at all Jeremy. It is despised because like most human rights commissions its only goal is to supress free speech, and only attacks the natives of the country they're established in, aka Whites.

I view them as basically the hammer of the PC movement. When words fail to shut you up in comes the HRCs with their lawyers and lawsuits. Many people have been put in jail by them simply because they spoke their mind. People like Savant for example could be jailed for the content of his blog, on bogus charges of inciting hatred or hate speech.

Some HRCs might actually be focusing on real human rights issues, and i'd have no problem with those, but B'nai Brith certainly isn't.

In 2004 I tried to get the Irish Human Rights Commission to investigate several instances of journalists who had published (or broadcast) false allegations of child murder against the Christian Brothers. Most of these related to times when no boy died of any cause so I coined the phrases "Murder of the Undead" and "Victimless Murders" to describe the claims.

The IHRC said these allegations were a matter for the Director of Public Prosecutions. I already told them he had refused to prosecute two sets of "Murder of the Undead" allegations - by the Irish Times and by TV3 - under the Incitement to Hatred Act. However he prosecuted a bus driver for telling a black passenger to "go back where you came from" and the driver was convicted of incitement!

They also said that this issue was not in their 3 year Plan. However one of the Commissioners is taking a case to the Supreme Court to have her lesbian marriage recognised in this country. She is being supported by the IHRC so presumably THAT is in their Plan!

I cannot say that I was shocked by their hypocrisy because my capacity for shock disappeared many years ago. I DO WONDER HOW THESE PEOPLE JUSTIFY THEIR BEHAVIOUR TO THEMSELVES. Many liberals today complain about the authoritarian behaviour of the Irish Church in the past - but people like John Charles McQuaid were operating according to a recognisable set of moral standards. In contrast, what on earth do the Human Rights brigade stand for?

I've found it extremely difficult to trace just how much public money these parasites are receiving. Can you direct me/us to a good source?

The following article re the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal is from The Windsor Star (Canada) on 5 November. ("First Nation" means Canadian Red Indian. "Meti" is Mixed Race):

"First Nation Discriminated Against Metis Job Hunter

"A Saskatchewan First Nation band discriminated against a Metis job seeker on the basis of ethnicity, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has found.

"The Cumberland House Cree Nation has been ordered to pay Valerie Deschambeault $46,690 for lost wages, pain and suffering, special damages and expenses for twice refusing to hire her as a residential school healing facilitator because she was not a member of the band.

"The tribunal also rejected the First Nation's claim it was immune to the Canadian Human Rights Act. The tribunal found the band's decision was not made under any authority granted under the Indian Act. "

The reason this person got justice is because she is a Mixed Race Female. However God help a Male WASP who seeks justice from the Human Rights brigade.

ALSO about a year ago the Australian Government banned the sale of alcohol on all Aboriginal resservations because of horrific problems re child abuse and wife beating. The Government got away with it because PC hysteria about child abuse trumps hysteria about racism. Again justice triumphed - but only by accident!

Where have Irish conservatives been hiding says Mr.Connell? As Anon 03.08 pointed out, it is very difficult to get published in Ireland if you have views that differ from those of the "Liberal" Mass Media.

For the past 10 years I have been researching false allegations of child murder made against Catholic clergy (mainly the Christian Brothers). These blood libels have been published by the Irish Times and Independent and broadcast by RTE and TV3. What typically happens is that the Christian Brothers write to the newspaper pointing out that no boy died at the time in question. The newspaper publishes the letter and then the allegation is repeated elsewhere a few months later. No libel action is possible because the claim is complete fantasy - neither victim nor murderer existed so there is no-one who can sue. This happened on numerous occasions between 1999 and 2004 approx.

Google the phrases "Murder of the Undead" and "Victimless Murders" and you will find a number of essays on various websites. Eventually historians will write something about this scandal - no doubt after all the relevant journalists are dead and it makes no difference any more!

This is a dramatic example but it is repeated on many levels e.g. in referenda where the media and political parties all say the same thing - and then claim the opposition are fascists or are funded by the CIA!
