No, I'm not joking

According to the dhimmi BBC, hospital beds of Muslim patients are to be turned to face Mecca several times a day as part of changes aimed at helping patients uphold their Islamic faith. Dewsbury District Hospital in West Yorkshire will also provide Halal meals and make changes to shower facilities.

Staff at the hospital will take part in training sessions to teach them how to help patients with their faith worship. Hospital matron Catherine Briggs said she had spoken to Muslim patients about how the service could be improved. She said: "We always do our best to listen to our patients and are willing to adapt our nursing practices where possible to help patients uphold their cultural beliefs."

Nursing staff have said, off the record of course (they want to keep their jobs and their heads) that this lengthy procedure, which also includes providing fresh bathing water is causing huge workload problems and added costs. Meanwhile savage cutbacks continue to be applied to various other parts of the NHS.

You couldn't make it up.

Yeah I saw this a little while back. On Holy Thursday all Christians in hospital should have their feet washed. During Ramadan and lent all patients should fast. No meals should be served.

Don't forget the new muslims hospital gowns they want to bring out along with these changes. (seriously)

We all know how Islam is judged by the conduct of its women, so all male doctors and hospital workers need to wait to be accompanied by a close family relative before any female examinations can take place.

I mean why only half measures, lets go the whole hog and to hell with the health budget.

Actually, this is a very good point made by Daidy, if only in jest. The rest of us blow all this crap sky high if we decided that we wanted our 'religious sensitivities' pandered to as well. It'd make the whole thing unworkable. Im serious about this.

Apparently this plan is now being rolled out to the rest of the NHS!!
